Thinking of becoming an Early Learning
and Childcare Practitioner?

Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) is changing and you can play your part in the development of this exciting sector in the North East of Scotland.

By 2020, there will be up to 11,000 new jobs available in Early Learning and Childcare across Scotland. That’s a lot of people to help shape a lot of young lives.

Find out more about the fantastic career progression opportunities and what it’s actually like working in Childcare (Spoiler: it’s not all nappies and babysitting).

You’ll find everything you need to know about pathways, qualifications and development opportunities as well as our very own ELC Quality Awards on these pages.

Have a look around and be inspired to work with our youngest learners – there’s a world of opportunities in ELC, just waiting for you to explore them.
